The Plane
The Fiat G.50 was the first mooplane fighter to enter service with Regia Aeronautica.
Not being particularly performing in any respect it served although honestly during the war years on many fronts, mainly as fighters, escorts and fighter-bombers, with a grand total of over 700 built.
Particularly brilliant results were obtained by the finnish pilots that used a small amount of G.50s on the eastern front 1940-1944; they claimed 88 confirmed victories at the expense of only 2 pilots killed.
The plane here depicted belonged to 353th squadron and was sent to Belgium late 1940 with Corpo Aereo Italiano to partecipate in the Battle of Britain.

Flying the Freccia
The Fiat G.50 virtual cockpit is built by the book, that is positioning every single gauge, instrument and lever as precise as my docs are.
Gauges and labels are in italian, please refer to the pictures below if you have any trouble in understanding usage.
Please notice that this one virtual is compatible and can be used to replace the AvHistory G.50 one, less historically accurate, available here.
Since the real plane had an open canopy (most common versions) and no spoiler, the related keys were free and I have used them to animate some levers, buttons and the like; they don't serve a particular purpose, I did for the fun of it.
- SPOILER key operates the opening engine cover to reveal the Fiat A.74 radial engine.
- CANOPY key operates a few more remaining, including the San Giorgio gunsight.
